Anitta cuts after impolite question about posing nude: ‘Sexist’Reproduction

Singer Anitta said she went through a complicated interview recently, where she was asked a lot about her positions regarding sexuality. In an appearance on the US show “Today” on Friday (31), she revealed how she reacted when asked if she would pose nudeĀ for Playboy magazine.

“I’m sorry if I kept quiet. I just got back from one of the worst interviews of my entire career. They just wanted to ask me about sex, my sexuality, my love life. It was so sexist, like we were stuck in time 20 years ago,” he saidĀ during the interview with “Today.”

The Brazilian also revealed the question that had made her so uncomfortable, whether she would pose nude for Playboy magazine. “And when I answered, I said, ‘Who knows, maybe I’ll be a Playboy writer.’ It was as if they had never thought I could be beautiful, talented and intelligent,” she said.

Known for her discourse of sexual freedom, a theme widely applied in the songs, Anitta revealed that she doesn’t mind opening up about her particularities as long as people recognize that she is more than a woman who talks openly about sex.

“It’s part of our life and it’s a big part of who I am, so I don’t mind being asked about it. I love being a sexual person. It’s part of my character,” he said.

“I just don’t like it when people think that’s all there is to it. When people treat me like ‘Oh, being sexy is all she knows.’ No, that’s not all I know. I had been managing my own career for many years. I’m a businesswoman. I can’t be reduced to just sex. I do a lot and I still want to do a lot more.”
