Canadian singer Céline Dion published a note on Saturday (10) criticizing US presidential candidate Donald Trump for using a song without authorization during a rally in Montana.

In videos that went viral, the businessman adopted the song present in the movie Titanic (1997), ‘My Heart Will Go On’. However, the use of the song was not properly authorized by singer Céline Dion or the record label responsible.

“Today, Céline Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized use of the video, recording, musical performance and image of Céline Dion singing ‘My Heart Will Go On,'” the text reads.

“In no way is this use authorized and Céline Dion does not endorse this or any similar use.”

The publication also mocked the choice of song, often associated with the tragic ending of James Cameron’s film. “Really, THIS song?” he emphasized, ending the statement.
