Actor and athlete Taylor Wily died last Thursday (20) at the age of 56. The death was announced by the Hawaiian broadcaster “KITV News”. The cause of death was not disclosed by the family of the artist, known for his performance in the series “Hawaii Five-0”.

Peter Lenkov, creator of the remakes of the series, went public to mourn the death of the actor, who played the iconic character Kamekona Tupuola. “I’m devastated. Heartbroken. I’ll post some detailed sentiments later. It’s very difficult now,” he admitted.

“Taylor, as I’ve told you many times, I fell in love with you at the first audition. You came in with a towel on your head wiping away the sweat, and I was won over. You enchanted me to make you a fixture in the show and in my life. You were family. And I’m going to miss you every day, brother.”

Willy was born in Teila Tuli, Hawaii, on June 14, 1968. The interpreter, who is survived by his children and wife, had turned 56 seven days old. In addition to the fame gained with “Hawaii Five-0”, Taylor stood out for his sports career: he was once a sumo wrestler and also a UFC wrestler.
