Justin Timberlake Released After Being Charged With Drunk Driving

Singer Justin Timberlake was arrested after driving drunk and was released from New York police custody on Tuesday afternoon (18).

The artist had been taken to the police station after allegedly driving after using alcohol and other drugs. He was driving a 2025 BMW and ran a red light, according to CNN. According to a well-known source, the singer reportedly left a hotel in Sag Harbor Village in the Hamptons before being arrested. 

According to a statement from Sag Harbor Police, the star was driving outside the appropriate lane and underwent police observation during the morning. Justin was released without bail but will have to answer a hearing on July 26.

According to the New York Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), a person who is arrested after driving under the influence of alcohol is subject to a fine of between $1,000 and $2,500 and will still be prosecuted, facing a year in prison and having their license suspended.
