The photo agency Shutterstock, one of the best known in the world, made a faux pas by confusing influencer Bruna Biancardi with actress Bruna Marquezine. Both are ex-girlfriends of soccer star Neymar Jr.
The mistake went viral on social media on Thursday (16). Fans noticed that when searching for Marquezine’s name on the site, photos of Biancardi at the Cannes Film Festival appeared . Mavie’s mom stepped onto the red carpet at the event yesterday afternoon.
Screenshots with the error circulated around the web, and netizens did not let the slip go unnoticed. “They only knew it was Neymar’s Bruna, last name doesn’t matter,” joked one Instagram user.
“Obviously they look alike, if it wasn’t like that, Neymar wouldn’t even date Biancardi,” declared another. “They have absolutely nothing to do with each other. But people insist on this rivalry, this unhealthy comparison. Guys, for God’s sake, leave people alone,” opined a third.

This is not the first time the international press has made this mistake. In 2022, the British tabloid Daily Mail also confused the two.
At the time, the outlet published a catch of Neymar and Bruna Biancardi enjoying their vacation in Miami, in the United States. The headline of the article, however, read: “Neymar Jr. shows off his tattoos while walking arm-in-arm with his girlfriend, Bruna Marquezine, while on vacation in Miami.”
