Meghan Markle, now known as the Duchess of Sussex, due to her marriage to Prince Harry, may be “panicking” after revelation that her ex-husband, film producer Trevor Engelson, may be about to release a Book telling details about the relationship of the two, which lasted about nine years, between courtship and marriage.
Before joining the Royal Family of the United Kingdom, Meghan was an actress, having participated in films such as “I Want to Kill My Boss” and “Dater’s Handbook”, she dated Trevor in 2004, marrying the producer in 2011 in Jamaica. The divorce came in 2013, just two years later, at the request of Meghan, who claimed “irreconcilable differences”.
Meghan met Harry just three years later, already in 2016, introduced to the prince by a mutual friend, and marrying him in 2018. Since then, she has been trying to shake off her past image, especially after disagreements with the royal family.
According to information from OK! Magazin, Trevor, now married to nutritionist and multimillionaire heiress Tracey Kurland, is reportedly receiving proposals to publish the story of his “failed marriage” to Meghan, which has left the Duke and Duchess stunned.
“A lot of agents offered her great deals and a lot of money when Meghan was at the height of her fame. I think he’ll take stock and look at all the options. He then said that Meghan ‘is bound to be petrified’ because Trevor ‘would have a really remarkable story’, where he had a first-hand experience of what it was like to marry the actress for the first time,” revealed Neil Sean, royal expert and author.
“There are a lot of things that both of them, especially Meghan, don’t necessarily want to be in the public domain. It’s no secret that the two led colorful lives before they met, and while Harry talked about a lot of mistakes in his book, there are still things about Meghan that we don’t know.
Also according to the publication, Meghan was well known at Hollywood parties before meeting Harry and claimed that there are people willing to discuss her past, including her failed marriage to Trevor. Journalist and royal expert, Ulrike Grunewald, is said to be leading the upcoming documentary that will be produced for the German network ZDF.
According to reports, Ulrike traveled to California in the United States with a team of five people. She also began investigating the Montecito area, the neighborhood where the couple lives with their two children.
How Meghan and Trevor’s “failed marriage” ended
Andrew Morton, author of the book “Meghan: A Hollywood Princess,” revealed that the breakup happened in the mail, according to a friend of the then-couple. “The marriage ended so abruptly that Meghan sent her diamond wedding and engagement rings back to him [Trevor] by certified mail.”
Another source also confirmed that the decision to end the marriage was made solely by Meghan and that it happened “totally out of nowhere”.
