The Rock in Rio announces this Tuesday (23) three  new shows scheduled for September 14: the English band James, the contemporary blues icon Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and the singer Penélope, who will perform with the miners of Pato Fu.

James is one of the most commercially and artistically successful alternative rock bands Brazil for the first time, especially for the festival. The opening is in charge of Penelope, who returns to the stage after a 20-year break. She will perform with the miners of Pato Fu.

“It’s going to be a day for varied tastes on the Sunset Stage. Pop Rock, Blues, Indie Rock and Emo Rock will set the tone for the space’s curated narrative on this date”, begins Zé Ricardo, artistic vice president of Rock World. The company created Rock in Rio and The Town.

“Audiences will have the opportunity to experience an incredible journey through music, from the emotional return of the band Penelope alongside Pato Fu, to the energy and powerful blues sound of Kingfish. We’ll also go through the great hits of James, who is a true institution of alternative rock, and close the night with a wonderful show full of NX Zero hits. It will be an unforgettable day”, he concludes.
