The cancellation of Roberto Carlos’ concert, which would take place in Pacaembu this Friday (19), continues to be criticized by the singer’s fan base that would attend the event. With purchased tickets, spectators can ask for a refund of the amounts they spent.

“Too amateurish from the organization. Ridiculous,” criticized one user of X, formerly Twitter. “I heard about the cancellation coming here,” said another. “I don’t want to risk my life in a place that’s not safe, but I also don’t want to think I’m just going to miss the show,” lamented a third.

Refund

As the show has not been rescheduled, fans can be refunded for the amounts paid on tickets. The event’s press office issued a statement explaining how to request a refund of the money.

“In order to comply with the determinations of the City of São Paulo, which did not authorize the performance of the show, rejecting the permit for its realization, the production of the event informs those who purchased tickets online to contact the service channel (WhatsApp 0800-232-0800). For those who purchased physical tickets, we will inform you in the coming days how to refund the amounts,” says the note.

Why the cancellation?

After an inspection carried out by the fire department in partnership with Contru, the city vetoed the performance of Roberto Carlos at the Mercado Livre Hall, located at the Pacaembu stadium, in São Paulo. This is because the inspection found security flaws at the site.

The concert that would take place on Friday (19) would mark the beginning of the “I Offer Flowers” tour. The singer turned 83 yesterday and would celebrate the birthday alongside fans. Want to stay on top of the day’s top news? Click here and join our WhatsApp channel
