Ford’s commercial vehicle division announced that sales of the E-Transit in the Brazilian market will begin at the end of March, providing a new option for customers of these vehicles who are looking for more efficiency and reduction of emissions in daily operations.

The E-Transit has been shown in Brazil since 2022 and was even promised by Ford for last year, when it would be the brand’s third electrified launch in the country. The Transit electric van has been undergoing tests since 2022, being used by fleet owners in a Ford pilot program in Brazil, Argentina and Chile, having covered more than 60,000 km.

In addition to the E-Transit van, Ford Pro has announced the arrival of a chassis cab version, which will be the first on the Brazilian market for up to 5 tons.

“The arrival of the E-Transit is another important step in the expansion and diversification of our product line to continue the growth of Ford Pro, always with a focus on offering maximum profitability for the customer’s business,” says Guillermo Lastra, director of Commercial Vehicles at Ford South America.

Electrification is a trend even in transportation

Electric cars are becoming increasingly present in the Brazilian market and commercial vehicles could not be left out of the movement. In Brazil, several manufacturers are already betting on electric vans for transport in urban centers, and the arrival of the E-Transit is yet another option on the market.
