During the the launch of the Dolphin Mini, the BYD took the opportunity to strengthen the Chinese manufacturer’s partnerships with Brazilian companies. One of them is 99, a long-time BYD partner, which will provide a complete service fee waiver for drivers who use a Dolphin Mini.

Drivers already registered and active with 99 who buy the vehicle at partner dealerships between February 28 and September 8, will have the service fee charged by 99 reduced to 9.99%, that is, a 50% reduction in value, which will increase drivers’ earnings.

In addition, those who opt to stick their cars with messages that read “zero CO2 emissions” will have a total exemption from the tax, which could provide savings of up to R$12,000 in six months, according to estimates by 99 itself.

It is worth remembering that BYD has already announced partnerships with other companies, one of which is Raízen, which will guarantee discounts on refills for car owners of BYD cars, as well as free refills for one year for the first three thousand buyers of the Dolphin Mini.

According to the Executive Director of Innovation at 99, Thiago Hipolito, 99’s goal is to expand access to electric cars, and the company is a member of the Alliance for Sustainable Mobility, which aims to introduce 10,000 electric cars and 10,000 charging points in Brazil by 2025.

According to the executive, the partnership has existed since April 2022 and already has 300 units of the BYD D1, a car developed between BYD and DiDi, the company that owns 99, exclusively designed for passenger transportation. The 300 units of the D1 have already transported 1 million people, according to Thiago.

BYD D1 was created exclusively for passenger transport, but cannot be purchasedDisclosure

Since the start of the Sustainable Mobility Alliance, 99 estimates that 1,000 tons of CO2 have been emitted into the atmosphere thanks to the use of electrified cars by the platform The partnership has only two car manufacturers: BYD and Caoa Chery, but it also has car rental companies such as Movida and Unidas.
